Danish KZ-victims take a stand in T-shirt-terror-case

Saturday 28th February at 11.00-13.00 o’clock: Resistance movement on Town Hall Square

"4 terrorists sentenced to death" In a 10-meter high transparent at Town Hall Square in Copenhagen (Rådhuspladsen), members of the Danish resistance movement will show the parallel between the Second World War and today.

They were called ‘terrorists’ during the Second World War. Today, it is the same for freedom fighters in Palestine and Colombia.

There will be music from the time members of the Danish resistance movement were called ‘terrorists’ and a sound montage from the struggles in Denmark, Colombia and Palestine. Look, listen and feel what happened then and now!

11:30 Speech: Anton Nielsen, Chairperson of the Horserød-Stutthof Association, an organization of former prisoners of concentration camps and members of the resistance movement.

Anton Nielsen states: "There are too many similarities between then and now. We, if anybody, know that armed resistance may be necessary as a last exit in the fight for freedom."

"The purpose of anti-terror legislation is to silence the opposition and infuse fear in the population, so only the few dare to voice their opinion. Meanwhile international solidarity work is criminalized and liberation movements are declared terrorist organizations," concludes Anton Nielsen.

The gigantic installation is due to the coming trial in the Supreme Court on 5th-6th of March against Fighters + Lovers.

Here, six T-shirt producers will defend themselves against accusations of ‘terrorism’ through support of the liberation struggles in Colombia and Palestine. The T-shirt sale was in support of a radio station in Colombia operated by FARC, and a poster shop in Palestine run by PFLP.

The Horserød-Stutthof Association has also supported the FARC and PFLP.

The installation on Town Hall Square in Copenhagen is a co-production between it and Fighters+Lovers.

Members of the Danish resistance movement as well as current terrorist-accused from Fighters+Lovers will be present at the Town Hall Square in Copenhagen (Rådhuspladsen) for interviews.
